During a massage, you can expect the therapist to use techniques such as rubbing and kneading along the soft tissues of your body - muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin. The amount of pressure and movement applied by the therapist will vary depending on the clients requests and needs.
Studies have found that regular massages may reduce stress, relieve muscle tightness, promote relaxation, and stimulate the immune system.
See our menu of services below.
Deep tissue massage is often used to treat musculoskeletal issues. During this massage, sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes is used to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This technique helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury, and it reduces tension in muscle and tissue. A deep tissue massage increases blood flow to tissue, reduces inflammation, and may promote faster healing.
A Swedish massage is one of the most common massage techniques. It promotes relaxation by releasing muscle tension. This type of massage is gentler than deep tissue massage, promoting relaxation and tension relief. If you hold a lot of tension in your lower back, shoulders, or neck, this technique is for you.
A Hot Stone massage may help you relax while easing tense muscles and tissue throughout your body. Stones are typically heated to between 130 and 145 degrees fahrenheit. Smooth, flat, heated stones may be placed along your spine, on your stomach, on your chest, on your face, on your palms, on your feet, and toes. The therapist may hold the heated stones as they massage your body using long strokes, circular movements, vibration, tapping, or kneading.
Focused massage tailored to the costumer's needs.
